Finally most applicants are smiling checking their January 2023 SRD R350 Status this morning.

They woke up to the good news that August are there although no pay dates yet. But thus a good signal that likely they will be paid this month.
Just last week, SASSA concluded their means testing and rolled over all applicants to the month of January 2023 and as it has been confirmed by many applicants, their August is now approved.
To check your status and be sure you are also approved or otherwise, please do the following :
- Go here https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status, just make sure you have the ID number and the phone number used to apply
- Use the Moya app to check the status
- Contact sassa on 0800601011 toll free number to check status
- Or by using WhatsApp
SASSA has come under intense pressure from various civil society groups and organizations for its failure to pay grants on time and delay for those who are approved long time without pay dates.
