Starting this Thursday after several weeks of waiting for the final outcome of their pending status for the SASSA SRD R350 grant, applicants were disappointed when they were declined and the reason being that “self Exclusionary Response Found “.
Now affected applicants are wondering what at tall is the meaning of this new term used by SASSA to reject an applicant.
We tried our best to get in touch with SASSA to explain that phrase, but yo no avail. One thing we suspect is that, it could be that SASSA suspect the applicant is making a claim in their responses during the reapplication or new application which is/are not true.
Exclusionary could mean “One who is not qualified to make a claim under certain employment legislation, eg one who has reached retirement age
Dictionary
We cannot officially confirm which part of the online application forms that made SASSA after the screening to make such claim, bit currently let’s keep our hands crossed as SASSA will soon publicly lay bare the real facts.

I need sassa to reconsider my alternative income source because I’m not currently working yet i only receiving child support grant of 3 childrens while living with 5 of them last born couldn’t register for support grant because of my fourth born son did registered for support grant but only received first payment only in his early months now his 9 years old when i went to sassa’s office the computer pick up his name i told them yes he is my son but he doesn’t received grant anymore while i was going up & down trying to fix it they is no improvement my last daughter is 1year & 1month without getting her own because of the matter. Please reconsider the SRD 350 Grant it can make a difference in my life also in my children’s life
My R350 decline because of my aunty send me R600 to pay the society because she work far way.sometime same of my society members send me money to pay for them due to not getting same of or he/she asked to work even on weekends so what abt society they can’t attend.

I dont even work, i only Finish school last year and am still looking for a job at the moment.with the sassa grant it would make things easier for me to for transport, i had my plans of using the money for good. the reason my sassa grand is showing decline is because i told my father to use my bank card ..it make it easier for him he lost he’s….he’s is the only person working in the house and with the income he have, its not enough for 5 children’s .. I agree. Very disappointing. Sassa must give plain english reasons, not such confusing things. July 2021 riots was nothing. If this goes on for much longer the people will make last year’s riots look like a walk in the park.

The unfortunate part is that there is no solution to this decline reason: self-exclusionary-response-found. All other decline reasons you can appeal them by simply stating no UIF registered or no social grant received or not employed by government.

This is really pathetic how sassa assume you have an income even when you unemployed. Food prices went up sassa investigate into poor peoples bank accounts. Why???? What if u have a family member with no bank account and they ask you to receive there funds into your bank because they dont have an id document, and now because sassa see theres money in your account they assume someone is helping you. This is not right. People is suffering during this bad times and its winter too. I think the goverment wanna run short cuts. Not even the 350 is enough as food prives went sky rocking. Sassa needs to reasses all applications and the rules that is in place now will let people loot again. You cant blame them.
