Update to this story : As at now most applicants have been approved with pay dates from 21st October 2021. As has been the norm, those with verified bank accounts will receive their payments on the said days whereas those using Post Office will have to wait a bit more.

For those of you who recently checked your status for the SASSA SRD R350 grant for the month of October 2021, it can be seen that it is pending.


And we hope SASSA will very soon decide as to who should be considered for approval or declined. Probably by the third week of October 2021, approval will start.

Applicants do not need to submit application every month but SASSA will continue to check each month if an applicant still qualifies or not.


For those who have been approved long time without pay dates can either contact sassa on 0800601011 toll free number to check status or keep waiting until payment dates are given.

For Cash send users, SASSA recently advised them to submit their personal bank account or opt for Post Office as payment method.
