As at today Wednesday, July 2022 SRD R350 Status is stuck at pending, although we hope that approvals will start next week.
SASSA has admitted that there are challenges resulting in the commencement of the July payments as we are already in August.
They are currently working on the backlog for the month of May 2022 for which many applicants have been approved with pay dates and others without pay dates.
As at yesterday, those who were pending for May 2022 SRD R350 saw their statuses changing from pending to decline.
What amuses them the most was the fact, the reason for the decline was due to Alternative Income Source Identified.
This reason has been a major issue with applicants as they are yet to comes to terms with. They wonder as they are unemployed and if a family member or friend offers them some financial support, or receiving some stipends or even in some cases, money coming through their bank account are not meant for them.
So how can SASSA base on this “false” claim to deny them their share of national cake thus the SRD R350 Grant.
SASSA SRD R350 payments for July 2022 is likely to start next week as we have seen some changes in applicant’s status.
According to earlier reports from SASSA, July and August 2022 are expected to be paid this month, in order to clear all backlogs or outstanding balance.
As at now, June, April and May 2022 have all been worked on although there are few left.
When approved, the applicant is either given a pay date or without pay dates, if given a date of payment, go to your collection point either the bank or the merchants stores.
If you watch the video below carefully which the CEO of SASSA was explaining the payment plan and she indicated that starting August, all months will be in the correct order for payments as they hoped by that time, they would have dealt with.

Hi my R350 was decline for April Nd June but I appealed now my June is approved Nd may approved but no paydates it’s been two wks now

I haven’t received any payment from Sassa since the last payment April 2022 , ever since it’s been saying pending until now how ironic is that it was saying pending from April now there’s only July and June ,what happened to April and May payments to vanish on Sassa update .
