Some applicants of the SASSA SRD R350 grant are wondering when they will start seeing the April 2022 module on their status dashboard..
It has to be noted that SASSA has its financial year ending in March 2022 and starting a new one in April 2022. For this reason audit and other payments are usually closed as they prepare their report for the just ended financial year.
The grant was further extended by tge president till March 2023. Applicants must therefore have to exercise patience as SASSA is in preparation of a new financial year.

Meanwhile, new application is currently put on hold throughout all its application channels or platforms.
There is high probability that April 2022 payment will be delayed a bit further.
As has always been the case, SASSA has to examine each application every month to see if the applicant still qualifies or not for the grant. Approval of applications are not automatically done as SASSA has make sure the applicants meet the minimum qualifications required for approval.
This may even pave way for SASSA to escalate the reconsideration applications submitted months ago but with no response coming in from SASSA for no apparent reasons.
When affected applicants get in touch with SASSA on why the delay in Reconsideration Status, always showing pending, the response from SASSA is “please be patient”. Some have expressed their disappointment over this trend and feels that SASSA does not really care about those who they claim to care.
We are expecting SASSA to make an official statement on this matter as soon as possible to clear all doubts in the minds of the SRD grant applicants.
Some have contacted SASSA and are told the delay is largely due to the fact that the banks.

I changed my payment from the Durban Main branch to Tyme Bank. Reason is the corruption and long queues that move every 2 hours. Reason is, people are paying R100 to move ahead. I have spinal stenosis so sitting all day to be told to return another pay date, is very upsetting. Now I note, my April month is not showing on the srd app. It still should show wether approved or not. It’s the 15th April!

hi im krokee this delay is unnecessary we are not yet informed by sassa .
You sitting on pending after putting it through for reconsideration…their answer has been that they have not started checking those for reconsideration and they will get to it then pay for all months missed…makes no sense as this money is need monthly and that was its purpose…to sustain sebody monthly.They dont care.
