Finally, finally, SASSA has confirmed when payments will start for the month of August 2021.
Applicants are worried and wondering when the payments of the reinstated SRD R350 Grant will start after not hearing any news from SASSA over the past weeks.
But today Friday August 20th, SASSA through a tweet disclosed the commencement of the August 2021 payments.
It was a reply to a question by Twitter user wanted to find out when August 2021 payments will start.
Below is what SASSA said :
Payments will be made from the 23rd Aug 2021. Beneficiaries cannot be give a specific date as to when that particular beneficiary will be

In another tweet, they admitted challenges with the application system as more and more people are trying to apply at the same time, this, according to SASSA, has resulted in challenges in checking SRD R350 status.
They have given assurance that, things will be normalized soon and applicants can check status smoothly.
But the payment plan did not work out as planned but rather started on the 25th August 2021.

If yiu are approved with pay dates then you may receive grants this week, otherwise you will have to wait for pay dates
