Introduction
Many applicants are stranded stranded online and other channels in an attempt to apply for the reinstated SRD R350 grant.
SASSA made a public announcement on Wednesday, stating the channels in which one can apply on Friday 6th August at 9am.
But most of these applicants are stranded online, both on WhatsApp (0820468553), USSD Code: *134*7737# and the website: srd.sassa.gov.za. But at the time of filing this report, the website was still down and other channels were not configured to accept applications.
our checks from sassa indicates that there is heavy traffic on their servers as more and more people are trying to apply at the same time.
They have however asked applicants to exercise constraints and give the system some time and apply later the day or the subsequent days in the month of august.
As we currently facing challenges, we believe and hope SASSA will help and resolve the system as soon as possible.
We are closely monitoring the system on case it is fully functional, we will let our visitors know.
