In his usual speeches, the president Cyril Ramaphosa has officially announced the Reinstatement or extension of the SRD grant.
The grant was introduced during the peak of the global pandemic when there was a spike of the virus leading to the nationwide lockdown.
For many this will be their most expectations when the today’s speech was earlier announced, but some their utmost expectations was the increase of the grants and subsequently becoming a permanent Basic Income Grant.
The president has at least heard the plight of the people who have lost their source of livelihood as a result of the economic downturn.
For now all the people are saying is that they are grateful to the president for at least listening to their cry for help.
Indeed South Africa is the number one country which introduced some financial support to about six million people during the pandemic across the world. Applicants are welcome to submit their applications online.
