For most applicants since yesterday have seen their approvals receiving pay dates for the SRD R350 Grant for the month of September 2022.
Currently, if you have not checked your status today, you can simply click on this link in blue 👉👉 https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status to check your status.
According to some applicants, their pay dates are 22 and 26th September pee those who have revealed theirs.
For now most applicants have bren approved and it seems the numbers are very high compared to the previous month.
This is likely due to the fact, the new threshold of R624 from the old R350 has given a way fro most people who have other sources of income to be included in the bracket of qualifying applicants.
Previously, if you have any other source of income more than R350 per month coming into your account, you are not eligible for the SASSA SRD R350, but now that the threshold amount has been increased, more people are considered.
This notwithstanding, there are several applicants who are still pending and those who are yet to receive any pay dates for the month of August and even before.
Some of these applicants have had their bank account details verified whilst others are bank account details are yet to be verified.
But the question is although SASSA does not directly verify the bank account but rather the banks, why is it then hard for those whose verification is completed but still no payment.
Could it be just an oversight for which SASSA may not be aware or it is just a deliberate attempt to deny these applicants.
It has been a great source of concern for these SASSA SRD R350 grant applicants and some Civil Society Organizations (CSO).
Looking at the economic situations in this country especially for those unemployed youth, SASSA will have to, as a matter all urgency, speed up the process and offer a unique or dedicated hotline or email to address the concerns of these affected applicants.
