For many applicants of the SASSA SRD R350 grant, the February 2022 module or status has started showing which gives hope that definitely, payments are sure to come.
There were speculations earlier among some applicants that government intent to stop the SRD R350 Grant.
It will be recalled that since the inception of the reinstatement of the SRD grant which according to plan will run till March 2022 but now extended till March 2023 for additional 12 months.
Although most applicants have been paid, but still there is a large number of applicants who have been declined or approved without pay dates.
Even recently, there has been news going round online especially on Social media networks indicating that the new minister of finance is proposing to cancel the R350 and replace it with a family or household grants.
The Minister is yet to make official announcement during the 2022 budget speech so that the whole country will know what exactly is in the bill or the new proposals.
Meanwhile, those who were approved las t year and could not receive or collect their grants from the Post Office have until 30th November 2021 to do so or forfeit it to government and this was announcement was made the Minister of Department of Social Development Lindiwe Zulu.
