Due to the high volume of fraudulent change of contact numbers, the change of contact numbers have been suspended on the SASSA website. Clients should contact the call centre if they need to change the contact numbers. Clients have to conduct facial recognition which is linked to Department of Home Affairs in order to authenticate the request. The number will be changed only if the client has successfully conducted the facial recognition process.
