News Just received from the National Social Development Department indicates that all persons who wish to continue enjoying the SRD R350 Grant will have to submit their applications once again.

It was indicated in press statement released late Friday, 22nd April 2022 after people were wondering what was going on with the 2022 April grants.

Part of the statement reads:

Given that the Covid-19 SRD will now be provided for under a new legislative framework, and that additional qualifying and assessment criteria will be added, those in need of assistance will have to apply for the Covid-19 SRD, or reapply if they were previously in receipt of this grant. Fortunately, the entire application system remains a purely digital process, thereby enabling quick access and turnaround times. Theapplication system will be opened at 12am on Saturday 23 April 2022.
Applications can be lodged either on the SASSA website at https://srd.sassa.gov.za.

From the above it is clear that applicants must have to apply again in order to be considered for the SRD R350 Grant.

  1. I applied for srd grant in August 2021 and and it approved from August to March but I haven’t received any payment, since we are reapplying will I receive all these R360s from August?

    Regarding the re-applying, i see that you need to insert your parents details. How ever what do you do when they are bothe deceased more the 20yrs ago.

    Also you alomost 50yrs of age why do you still need to insert your parents id’s.
