Chidimma Adetshina, who represented Taraba State, has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024. In an exciting conclusion to the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant, Chidimma Adeshina has been crowned the new queen.
The grand finale, held on Saturday night at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos, saw 25 contestants from different Nigerian states, each championing social causes such as women empowerment, mental health and environmental sustainability.
Her journey to the title was remarkable, reflecting the resilience and grace that marked the Miss Universe incident in South Africa where she was controversially disqualified.
The Miss Universe Nigeria pageant was a dazzling display of glamour, glamor and intelligence. In total, the participants 25 strong contestants in the competition.
After the contestants showed off their elegance in evening gowns, the five finalists were announced: Miss Taraba Chidimma Adetshina, Miss Anambra Paula Ezendu, Miss Edo Edeifo Brittany, Miss Ondo Ayegbidun Peace Olamide and Miss Rivers Nyekachi Douglas.
The three winners were then revealed, with Miss Ondo declared Miss Lush, Miss Anambra as first runner-up and Miss Supranational and Chidimma Adetshina as the overall winner.
“This crown is not just for beauty; it is a call to unity,” Chidimma said after being crowned.
Adetshina will receive N10 million in cash and other prizes and will represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico this November.

The 23-year-old, born and raised in South Africa to a Nigerian father and Mozambican mother, has been the subject of much controversy. She competed in the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant as Miss Taraba after withdrawing from Miss South Africa due to negative online comments about her nationality and allegations of fraud by the South African Department of Home Affairs .
After his retirement, the organizers of Miss Universe sent him an invitation, which he accepted.
