For whatever reason you want to change your phone number to a new one, there is no place found on the website of SRD R350 grants that can allow applicants who found themselves in such situations can change phone numbers.
In some online forums especially on Social media, applicants are worried about the issue of not being able to update phone numbers.
When SASSA was contacted regarding this issue, SASSA said such applicants must contact them directly to on their toll-free number 0800601011 and they will be more than happy to provide the needed assistance.
Some have lost access to mobile phone numbers used to apply and are unable to make certain changes on their applications which require phone numbers yo receive confirmation code.
Note that the best option is to request for a sim swap from your telecommunications provider, the network where you bought the sim card from.
In case you contact sassa on 0800601011 toll free number and number is congested or busy, please don’t just give up, continue trying until you get through. Their number is hotline which can receives thousands of calls in a month from people across the country.
